Test-drive hatchback Skoda Rapid Spaceback
Excellent hatchback Skoda Rapid Spaceback strikes at first sight. Skoda's chief designer, Josef Kaban, did a good job on the exterior of the car, which received an aggressive silhouette and impressive 17-inch wheels. The panoramic roof, striking style and many modern details make this car a real boon.
However, the first impression is somewhat spoiled upon closer examination of the car. In the interior, one can clearly feel the budget of the finish, which apparently was compensated for by external research. The only thing the designers can be commended for are the plastic overlays on the control panel, which imitate aluminum.
One of three gasoline power units with a capacity of 75 to 122 hp is installed in the car. There are engines of forced versions, as well as several types of gearboxes for the client's choice. It cannot be said that the power plant is traction, but the car drives up the hill quite briskly.
The cabin is really spacious. The rear row of seats has enough room to comfortably accommodate a pair of adult men. The roof also has a height so you don't bang your head while driving. The roomy trunk also pleases. However, as we said above, the quality of the interior trim is poor.
